He perished with his wife in the wreck of the Conqueror off Lornell near Boulogne, 14th Jan 1843, buried at Dover
Marshall, Captain James Nasmyth, of the East India Companys Service, only surviving son of Colonel Marshall, of Bath; also his wife, Elizabeth, third daughter of the late William Butt, Esq, of Corneybury, Herts, wrecked on board the Conqueror, on her passage from Calcutta to England, Jan 14.
