He was Rector of Roding Alba in Essex, which he resigned before September 22d, 1617, also Prebendary of Consumpta per Mare, in the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's, 15th February 1636. Whilst he was Vicar of this place he procured a Chapel to be erected at the South end of the town of Buntingford, which he began in 1614 and finished in 1626, in which year the Bishop of London granted a licence to celebrate divine service therein by a priest. He died in 1650 and lied buried in the said Chapel. Newcourt, Rep. vol, I. pp. 845,846.
